It was built by Kayseri businessman Mehmet Kemal Dedeman and donated to Erciyes University.
It was opened to service by President Süleyman Demirel in 1998. The hospital has the following departments.

The hospital, which completed its structuring within a year and started operating with all its units, has become a fully-fledged Blood Diseases and Cancer Research and Application Center.
